Why Duke has one of the top computer science programs
The University of Durham has the second-best computer science program in the United States, according to the College Board.
The school is located in Durham, North Carolina, just west of Asheville.
The University has a total of 6,621 undergraduates, according a release.
It has earned the top spot for computer science among public and private universities in North Carolina since the organization started tracking this measure in 2001.
In 2017, Duke won the College Science Excellence Award for its Computer Science program, which is recognized for its outstanding computer science and math programs, and was ranked second in the nation.
The program has been praised for its research on algorithms, artificial intelligence and artificial intelligence-enabled systems, among other topics.
Duke’s graduate students are working on new algorithms that are able to understand language, the release said.
Duke also has one in the top 20 universities for computer security.
The college has a program that offers a full range of undergraduate courses in cybersecurity and digital forensics, according the release.
